Moms, I know I’m talking to you because I really doubt there are any dads out there shopping for toddler angel costumes. But that is ok. We love doing the shopping for our children. So I want to give you a piece of advice for this Halloween season. It is a plan to help you get that darling little angel costume for your toddler.

We all love to dress up our little angels. When we see a little dress that we just can’t pass up, we don’t need a reason or excuse to buy it. We just need an explanation when we get home. Sometimes our husbands just don’t understand. Twenty years from now, when we need to give our memory a little jolt and we pull that dress out of the attic, our husbands just won’t have the same loving thoughts that we will. But again that is ok. Moms and dads are suppose to be different.

So back to our Halloween costume plan. You see, Halloween gives us a great reason to do some extra shopping for our kids. There are many cute costumes for our toddlers. And while they are not overly expensive, hubby may not want to pop for fifty bucks for a costume that is going to be worn for just one night. He doesn’t understand that the pictures of his little darling in this costume are going to last a lifetime. He just sees more of his boat down payment going out the window.

So here’s the plan. You tell hubby about this darling little angel costume that you found online that is perfect for his little sweetheart. Now before you tell him the price, you tell him Christmas is right around the corner. And you have heard that pre-school, or your church, whatever will work for you, is going to have a program and that this little outfit will work perfect for that occasion also. And, to really seal the deal, you tell him this angel dress will also work for Easter, instead of having to buy a new outfit then.

You have to really pour it on here. You have to drive home the idea that instead of having to buy three different outfits, this one little darling dress is going to cover all three holidays. He is going to get to see his princess in this costume on three different holidays. And don’t forget to say that you are just trying to help put more money towards that boat down payment. I think this plan is the best shot we have got.
